After joining the Facebook prayer group of a fellow adoptive mama and experiencing the power of a praying community all coming together around one cause, I decided to start one of our own. This group, "Prayers for Baby E," has grown exponentially in just a few days and we are so thankful.
As we enter the final stages of our adoption, there are some updates and prayer requests that may be too specific or too personal to be shared on this blog or even our Facebook walls. There are some details that are too sensitive to remain in the "blogosphere" for years to come. The "Prayers for Baby E" group allows us to follow through on our desire to remain transparent and openly share our journey with the people around us; but it also allows us to maintain a layer of protection, recognizing that we're dealing with some pretty heavy things here.
I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to us to have a place where we can freely share what's on our hearts and humbly beg for prayer, and then watch the emails and hear the notifications as they come chiming in for the next few hours. I used to think that it was creepy when Facebook would tell me that my post had been "seen by ____ people." Now I think it's encouraging! Thank you for joining us in prayer and expecting God to move mountains. We feel so blessed to have such an incredibly faithful and supportive community around us during this time.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Facebook group, "Prayers for Baby E," OR do not subscribe to Facebook and would like to receive our more detailed prayer requests via email, please contact me.
Thanks for joining us in praying our little man HOME!
