Allie just called in tears after being told that it was not advised for her to stay alone in Ghana with Eli (which was the point of her going on this trip in the first place). We now are seeking discernment as to our course of action.
The primary focus of this trip was to encourage bonding and attachment between Allie and Eli before traveling home together. At the orphanage, this intense one-on-one bonding is not possible. With the news that staying together in the hotel may no longer be considered safe, we are disheartened and discouraged about where to go, what to do, and when.
While there is no official road block from the Embassy (just silence), we are unsure if simply staying at the orphanage right now is the best plan for Allie. The director of the orphanage has presented a couple of other options that may allow us to bless more people in the process, so there is a lot to think and pray about right now.
Please join us in that (and THANK YOU!)
